Монографію присвячено 70-річчю з дня народження світлої пам’яті Ніни Василівни Гуйванюк – доктора філологічних наук, професора, завідувача кафедри сучасної української мови, видатного українського мовознавця й організатора науки, невтомної очільниці синтаксичної школи в Чернівецькому національному університеті імені Юрія Федьковича.
Колективна праця учнів проф. Гуйванюк Н. В. – не лише пошанівок і омовлена любов до мудрого Вчителя, європейського Професора, щирої Людини. В окремих її розділах схарактеризовано актуальні проблеми сучасної лінгвістики, її ключові поняття, конкретні завдання та методи, що їх нині напрацьовано у сфері граматики й семантики, стилістичного синтаксису, ідіостилістики, когнітивної діалектології, у процесі вивчення тексту й дискурсу. У чотирьох розділах колективної праці схарактеризовано актуальні проблеми та ключові поняття сучасної лінгвістики, конкретні завдання та методи, напрацьовані у сфері граматики й семантики, стилістичного синтаксису, ідіостилістики, когнітивної діалектології, у процесі вивчення тексту й дискурсу. Книгу адресовано широкому колу читачів – усім, кого цікавлять актуальні проблеми синтаксису в його розгалуженнях – у формально-синтаксичному, семантико-синтаксичному, референційному, ономасіологічному, когнітивному, комунікативному, прагматичному тощо.
ABSTRACT
The monograph is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the bright memory of Nina Vasylivna Huivaniuk (Doctor of Philology, Professor, Head of the Department of Modern Ukrainian Language), who, on the basis of nobility, trust and feeling of partnership, managed to unite the collectivity of true-minded people holding the same view – Syntactic School of Yuriy Fedkovych National University. Today, the disciples of Prof. Huivaniuk work on topical issues of the present-day syntactic theory, which aim at elaborating the typology of syntactic units, investigating their structural variability, semantic fullness and functional significance.
The four chapters of the monograph:
– define such fundamental notions of Syntax as formal-syntactic, communicative-stylistic and intentional paradigms, syntactic categories (predicativity and half-predicativity, predicateness, predication and proposition, communicative intention and modality, authorization and actualization), syntactic ties at the level of word combinations, sentence and text (predicative, half-predicative, subordinate, gravitational, chain, parallel, cumulative-integrative, implicit-coalitional), semantic-syntactic relations (predicative, half-predicative, quantitative, duplex, voluntative, antiphrasic etc.); objective and subjective (authorial) modality;
– describe functional-semantic peculiarities of different rank language units - syntactic units, word combinations, simple sentences, extra-phrasal units, discourse and antiphrasic utterances, communication units, epistolary units, implicatures, syntactic metaphors and dominants;
– determine the lingual status of elementary and non-elementary syntactic units, as well as their paradigmatic and syntagmatic parameters, formal-semantic correlation (correlational, variant) relations and the hierarchy with the notion of semantic transposition and functional equivalence;
– emphasize on communicative-stylistic aspects of syntactic units’ functioning in verbal communication (discourse), the elementary (indiscrete, indivisible) units of which are speech acts and their basic form – a sentence-phrase, as well as single out the mechanisms of non-verbal communication “lingualization” in drama texts by means of remarks.
The research is based on the ideas of anthropocentrism and conceptualization of syntactic units, which were substantiated by both Ukrainian (Y. Andersh, V. Britsyn, I. Vykhovanets, K. Horodenska, N. Huivaniuk, A. Zahnitko, N. Ivanytska, V. Kononenko, O. Melnychuk, M. Mirchenko, V. Rusanivskyi, M. Stepanenko and others) and foreign (N. Arutiunova, M. Heidegger, G. Zolotova, O. Paducheva, Y. Stepanov, L. Tenieres, J. R. Searle and others) linguists. It is natural that the co-authors of the monograph have expressed their own views regarding the most complicated issues of the syntactic theory. Consequently, it proves the theoretical-applied significance and novelty of the analysis, presented in the monograph.
The investigation is performed on Ukrainian-language material for the adoption of functional-stylistic features of different types of discourse (literary, nonfictional, epistolary, dialectal and colloquial). This has enabled its authors not only to indicate the peculiarities of implementing the actant-predicative and intentional relations within the national lingual space in general, and on the territory of Chernivtsi Oblast (within the structure of dialectic Bukovinian texts) in particular, but also to determine the phenomenon of syntactic units in different aspects – formal-syntactic, semantic-syntactic, referential, onomasiological, cognitive, communicative, pragmatic, etc.
